After a long hiatus, and with some generous support from our friends at Patagonia Fly Fish, I’m beyond excited to be bringing Writers on the Fly back to Cascadia with Cascadia Redux, a monthly reading series beginning on November 17th and continuing in 2023.
This time around, we’ll be heading back to where it all began, Emerald Water Anglers Fly Shop in West Seattle, WA.
Featured readers will including a few familiar faces in Steve Duda, Erin Spaulding and Copi Vojta; we’ll also be welcoming poet and writer Anne Landfield to the podium for the first time.
In addition, we’ll have art from photographer Matthew Delorme, and all proceeds from the event will benefit YMCA of Greater Seattle’s Boys and Girls Outdoor Leadership Development (BOLD/GOLD) Program.
Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, head on over to Brown Paper Tickets to grab a ticket.
The Cascadia Tour—2019: We're Back!
The Cascadia Tour is just over a week away, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring this evening of flyfishing literature and art (and beer) back to the Pacific Northwest.
As always, some of our favorite past readers will be joining the lineup, including Steve Duda, Dylan Tomine, Nathaniel Riverhorse Nakadate, Amanda Monthei, Greg Fitz, Langdon Cook, Cameron Scott, Alex Collier and Will Rice. These folks inevitably put on a good show, so no matter where you’ll be joining us you’re bound to have a good itme.
In addition, we’re fortunate to be adding a few new faces to the crew. Author Scott Sadil (scottsadil.com), whose newest collection of stories Goodnews River is forthcoming from Stackpole Books, will be reading in Bend and Portland. Also in Bend and Portland, we’ll hear from Jesse L. Robbins, whose work has been published in The Flyfish Journal, among other publications. Writer and creative wizard Erin Spaulding (erinspaulding.work) will also be joining us in Bend. Her most recent publication in The Flyfish Journal was Christmas Queens. Lastly, Bridget Moran will share her work in Seattle and Bellingham.
Of course, The Cascadia Tour wouldn’t be complete without the work of some of our favorite artists on display. This year, we’ll get some eye candy from the likes of Rachel Finn, Tyler Hackett and Emma Yardley.
A huge thanks as always goes out to our sponsors: Patagonia, Sage Fly Fishing, and The Flyfish Journal. Without their support, the tour wouldn’t be possible.
We can’t wait to see you there. Click on over to The Cascadia Tour for more details and to purchase tickets to the show!

Behind the scenes with Blue Boat Sessions
Had the good fortune to chat with Copi Vojta over at The Flyfish Journal about the Blue Boat Sessions, what it's all about, where the idea came from, why we're doing it, all that.
Worth a quick read if you have a chance, and as a bonus check out some sweet behind the scenes photos from Mr. Vojta himself.

Blue Boat Sessions 01 is here!
We had a great time working with Steve Duda of The Flyfish Journal and Daniel Silverberg and Joey Mara of Waist Deep Media to create Blue Boat Sessions 01. Steve's story nails it, and Daniel and Joey were wizards behind the camera and in the editing room.
Keep an eye out for more Blue Boat Sessions in the future! Click through below to see the video, and learn more about the filmmakers and writer.
